U.S. stocks climbed Wednesday as buyers looked past another day of U.S.-Iran headlines and pushed the Dow through 53,000. Tehran hit targets across the Gulf world, and accused the U.S. of hitting a wedding in Sirik, on the south coast, killing at least four people.
Uber laid ff 10% of it’s workforce, NY Fed President John Williams said a bond selloff means people are BULLISH on the strong economy (lol), and the White House and rest of the world can’t seem to agree if the Strait of Hormuz is in U.S. hands, or mined by the Iranians. Hint: it’s mined.
"Might as well just rename it Schrödinger's Strait," Mason Hamilton, VP of Econ at the American Petroleum Institute said.
Materials led nine sectors higher, and the big banks carried the blue-chip board. July PCE held at 3.7% headline and 3.3% core. Thursday brings jobless claims, ISM Services, and another Fed speaker.
After hours, Snowflake jumped +21.5% on stronger growth and higher guidance. Broadcom fell -3.5% after its forecast beat FactSet and missed LSEG. Stocktwits traders piled into both, but Broadcom’s stream ran loudest.

AFTER THE BELL
Snowflake clears the high ❄️

Snowflake, the cloud data platform, raised its full-year product revenue and operating-margin forecasts Wednesday night after stronger use of its core platform and AI products. Shares jumped after hours and cleared their previous 52-week high. Turns out, giant AI labs need giant piles of data analyzed, and firms are using software that already existed. So much for agents eating SaaS.
The RIP: $SNOW ( ▼ 4.37% ) jumped +21.5% after hours to $371.49. Adjusted EPS reached $0.62, revenue hit $1.55B, and product revenue rose +37% to $1.49B.
Snowflake now expects product revenue to grow +36% this year and +37% to +38% next quarter. It also raised its non-GAAP operating-margin forecast to 14.5% from 13.5%. Options chatter had priced a $37 swing. The stock moved $65.65. Snowflake added 692 new customers, up 32% from last year. 🌨️
Broadcom Beats One Wall Street 📉
Snow wasn't the only stock reporting Wednesday night. Broadcom, the semiconductor and infrastructure-software giant, more than tripled quarterly profit Wednesday as AI chip and networking demand pushed revenue higher. Shares fell after hours as traders picked apart a fourth-quarter forecast that beat one consensus and missed another.
The RIP: $AVGO fell -3.5% after hours to $354.26. Adjusted EPS reached $3.32 versus $3.16 expected, while revenue rose +86% to $29.59B versus $29.44B. AI semiconductor revenue climbed +221% to $16.7B.
Broadcom expects $34.8B next quarter, above FactSet’s $34.68B estimate and below LSEG’s $35.03B. Its $21.7B AI forecast topped $21.33B, so the guide was hardly a disaster. One Stocktwits trader had planned a $400 party, but the price fell any way. 🥴

"$AVGO 86% revenue growth for a 2 trillion market cap company is literally insane."

Dell’s $500 Fight 🖥️
Dell, the PC and server maker, reported fiscal Q2 Tuesday night and added $25B to its annual sales outlook. Shares surged Wednesday, climbing within $2.01 of $500 on five times their recent volume.
The RIP: $DELL jumped +15.8% to $492.20. Revenue grew +58% to $46.97B, adjusted EPS hit $7.04, AI server orders reached $60.9B, and backlog ended at $95B.
Dell now expects $192B in FY27 revenue, including $74B from AI servers. Stocktwits bulls treated $500 like a checkpoint. Stocktwits users were calling for bullish climbs, with price levels past $600. One bear, on the other hand, treated $500/share like the perfect place for a $1M short. Neither side got the closing price it wanted. 🍿
Tesla’s Gold Wedge Hits Austin 🤖
Tesla will put its purpose-built Cybercab in front of public riders Thursday night in Austin, nearly two years after unveiling the prototype. The steering-wheel-and-pedal-free robotaxi has moved beyond the stage. Texas filings now show roughly 50 Cybercabs registered alongside 263 Model Ys in Tesla’s ride-hailing fleet.
The RIP: $TSLA added +0.3% to $357.01 on 0.9x recent volume. Shares remain -20.6% YTD. Tesla plans to build 125,000 Cybercabs annually, but Thursday’s initial deployment size remains unknown.
Tesla still has to prove its camera-only software can operate safely without supervision, then keep the vehicles charged, cleaned, repaired, and carrying enough passengers to pay for a fleet. Much of its Austin testing has included a safety monitor, while Full Self-Driving remains a supervised product under federal investigation.
Stocktwits traders captured the entire setup in two posts: “tomorrow we fly” versus “legal time bomb.” Thursday needs to show how many Cybercabs will actually carry paying passengers, where they can operate, and whether Tesla will sell them to consumers before year-end. Another reveal party will not answer any of that. 🚕

Ultragenyx plunged after the FDA issued a Complete Response Letter for UX111, delaying the gene therapy’s path to approval. The setback centered on manufacturing, not the company’s established commercial portfolio, but a -43% move left little room for nuance.

Sellas said three preclinical studies of SLS009 in pancreatic cancer were accepted for an upcoming oncology conference. The stock rose, but the community is still fixated on the long-awaited Phase 3 REGAL data for GPS in acute myeloid leukemia.

C3.ai fell despite a fiscal fourth-quarter revenue and earnings beat. Thomas Siebel’s return as CEO and personal stock purchase kept the room extremely bullish. High short interest remains positioning context, not proof of a squeeze.
