Mid-Cap / Micro-Cap Top Movers of the Week 🐶

This week's Russell 2000 board is all AI infrastructure spillover, with one reverse split masquerading as a comeback and one biotech binary still on the clock.

$PENG ( ▼ 3.74% ) : Penguin Solutions, $4B cap: This week's top dawg, jumping 12 spots from #24 to #12. The move followed a blowout fiscal Q3 print on July 7 (revenue up 48% year over year, EPS nearly doubling estimates) and Nvidia naming it an AI Factory Specialized Partner. WTD up 27.5%, sentiment at 71%. Risk: the multiple. Shares trade near 60x earnings, and the stock has already logged 38 moves over 5% in a year.

$BAND ( ▼ 3.77% ) : Bandwidth, $2.4B cap: Climbed 4 spots to #6 after B. Riley hiked its price target 55% to $85 on AI voice infrastructure demand. WTD up 22.5%, sentiment at 66%. Risk: shares are sitting just under the $72.64 conversion price on its new 2032 convertible notes, a level that tends to cap upside.

$SVC ( ▲ 0.91% ) : Service Properties Trust, $1.1B cap: New entrant at #7, but the "move" is a 1-for-5 reverse split effective July 6, not fresh buying. Risk: the reverse split doesn't fix the balance sheet. The REIT has cut its distribution before and still carries heavy leverage against a hotel portfolio facing margin pressure.

$ATOM ( ▼ 2.93% ) : Atomera, $260M cap: Fell 10 spots to #25, the worst drop on the list. WTD down 10.5%, breaking below its short-term trend floor. Risk: cash burn is real (negative operating margin in the thousands of percent) and a law firm is actively investigating potential securities claims against its executives.

$SLS ( ▼ 5.55% ) : SELLAS Life Sciences, $2.5B cap: Fell 7 spots to #18 after a WallStreetBets-driven near-double unwound just as fast. WTD down 14.8%, watchers at 58.5k. Risk: binary catalyst. The Phase 3 REGAL AML trial has hit 78 of 80 required survival events; the topline readout could send this either way hard. Position-size accordingly.

Next week's swing factor: SELLAS hitting the 80th REGAL event. A clean survival benefit reprices the whole biotech corner of this list; a miss drags SLS and reignites bear chatter on the other AI-adjacent names riding pure multiple expansion.
