Mid-Cap / Micro-Cap Top Movers of the Week 🐶
AI infrastructure, biotech data, and crypto regulation reshuffled this week’s Russell 2000 momentum board.
$ERAS ( ▼ 3.72% ) : Erasca, up 10 spots to #10 and this week’s top dawg: The stock climbed the ranking even after slipping -3.7%, as management kept ERAS-0015’s early response data in view at Morgan Stanley. Risk: The next meaningful clinical update is not expected until H1 2027.
$TWST ( ▲ 7.35% ) : Twist Bioscience, new at #1: Shares gained +7.3% after Twist joined Eli Lilly’s TuneLab as an antibody-data provider for AI drug discovery. Risk: The partnership’s economics were not disclosed, and the stock has already climbed +427% this year.
$MXL ( ▲ 8.17% ) : MaxLinear, up six spots to #4: Shares jumped +8.2% as chip and optical-infrastructure names rallied. The company’s AI networking portfolio gave traders an obvious reason to pile in. Risk: No fresh company-specific catalyst surfaced, leaving this week’s move tied heavily to sector momentum.
$PURR ( ▲ 9.82% ) : Hyperliquid Strategies, new at #11: The crypto treasury stock gained +9.8% as regulators advanced rules for tokenized equities. Sentiment remained bearish at 29% despite 26,400 watchers. Risk: Its equity facility allows discounted share sales, keeping dilution close behind the rally.
$REAX ( ▼ 6.13% ) : Real Brokerage, new at #6: The post-merger real estate play entered the board despite falling -6.1% this week. Traders are still digesting its combination with RE/MAX. Risk: The deal brought a $550M financing commitment into a housing market already squeezed by higher rates.
Next week’s swing factor: Friday’s Sept. 25 durable-goods report will test risk appetite across the board’s high-multiple technology and biotech names.
