Mid-Cap / Micro-Cap Top Movers of the Week 🐶

The Russell 2000 momentum board split between fresh analyst-backed entrants and biotech names carrying very specific data clocks.

$ERAS ( ▲ 3.69% ) : Erasca, up six spots to No. 7: Shares added 3.7% this week as traders positioned for updated ERAS-0015 monotherapy data with more patients and longer follow-up at November’s oncology symposium. Risk: The pancreatic-cancer program remains in Phase 1, making response durability and safety the binary test.

$PENG ( ▲ 6.58% ) : Penguin Solutions, new at No. 14: Penguin gained 6.6% this week after an earnings beat, stronger fiscal 2027 guidance, and a Bank of America Buy initiation with a $100 target. Risk: That target assumes above-consensus earnings, leaving little room for delayed AI deployments or softer memory demand.

$PBF ( ▼ 5.68% ) : PBF Energy, new at No. 23: PBF entered after analysts lifted targets, including Goldman Sachs to $91 from $81, as tight fuel markets supported refiners. Risk: A 10% owner sold $10.1M near the current price, and Oct. 29 earnings must defend refinery margins.

$SLS ( ▲ 3.46% ) : SELLAS Life Sciences, new at No. 24: SELLAS gained 3.5% as its REGAL leukemia trial approached the 80th event required for final Phase 3 analysis, with SLS009 data also due this quarter. Risk: SELLAS remains blinded, and both programs face binary clinical readouts with uncertain timing.

$TWST ( ▲ 5.08% ) : Twist Bioscience, down two spots to No. 4: Twist fell 15.3% this week after Jefferies initiated coverage at Hold with a $150 target and ARK continued reducing its position. Risk: Shares remain above that target, while recent insider sales add another source of supply.

Next week’s swing factor: Wednesday’s CPI and Thursday’s PPI and retail-sales report will reset rate expectations across long-duration biotech and unprofitable technology names.
