The Free Newsletter Fintech and Finance Execs Actually Read

If you work in fintech or finance, you already have too many tabs open and not enough time.

Fintech Takes is the free newsletter senior leaders actually read. Each week, I break down the trends, deals, and regulatory moves shaping the industry — and explain why they matter — in plain English.

No filler, no PR spin, and no “insights” you already saw on LinkedIn eight times this week. Just clear analysis and the occasional bad joke to make it go down easier.

Get context you can actually use. Subscribe free and see what’s coming before everyone else.

Mid-Cap / Micro-Cap Top Movers of the Week 🐶

Rank gains hid a rough week: several leaders climbed because other stocks fell harder, while CareDx delivered an actual breakout.

$ATEX ( ▼ 1.24% ) : Anterix, Russell 2000 #23 → #7: Shares slipped -1.2% for the week despite jumping 16 spots. The utility-network spectrum owner heads into November 10 results with newly announced iPhone compatibility expanding its device ecosystem. Risk: Device support still needs to translate into utility contracts and spectrum revenue.

$IBRX ( ▼ 5.15% ) : ImmunityBio, Russell 2000 #17 → #6: The stock fell -5.1%, but November brings a concrete catalyst: the company expects bladder-cancer trial results for Anktiva plus BCG in previously untreated patients. Risk: Those results remain binary, and the planned fourth-quarter filing depends on the data supporting expansion.

$CDNA ( ▲ 22.22% ) : CareDx, Russell 2000 new at #3: Shares jumped +22.2% for the week. Reuters reported quarterly revenue of $139.4M versus $120.6M expected, alongside higher annual guidance. Risk: Testing revenue included $15M from prior periods, making the headline growth rate harder to repeat.

$AGL ( ▼ 1.21% ) : agilon health, Russell 2000 #5 → #1: A -1.2% week still carried the Medicare-care partner into first place ahead of November 4 earnings. Its Springfield Clinic expansion targets roughly 21,000 additional traditional Medicare beneficiaries. Risk: Agilon bears patients’ medical costs under full-risk contracts, leaving profitability exposed to higher care spending.

$INTC ( ▼ 28.58% ) : Intel, S&P 500 #6 → #19: Shares lost -28.6% for the week after Thursday’s earnings. MarketWatch reported weakening PC demand alongside server demand Intel cannot fully satisfy. Risk: Wafer and packaging constraints limit its ability to offset the PC slowdown with AI-server sales.

Next week’s swing factor: ImmunityBio’s November 3 and agilon’s November 4 earnings will test whether healthcare’s rank gains have operating support.
