The Weekend Rip
Happy Weekend!

AI chased records, oil chased inflation, and the market spent the week deciding which bill looked scarier. 📉
Let's recap and prep you for the week ahead. 📝
Monday 🛢️: Rising oil and inflation risk pinned the market near flat while Energy did the heavy lifting. Nvidia’s $500B financing push and Archer’s Boeing deal showed how much capital is chasing the next infrastructure boom, whether it runs on GPUs or flying taxis. The counterweight is Wednesday’s CPI, with crude already making that inflation test harder.
Tuesday 🛢️: Fading hopes for U.S.-Iran progress pushed crude higher and left a weaker tech market leaning on energy for support. AI infrastructure reclaimed the spotlight after hours as strong cloud demand, improving server margins, and restaurant traffic rewarded earnings risk. Wednesday’s inflation report now decides whether the market can keep chasing those rebounds without a fresh rates headache.
Wednesday 🤖: Semiconductor leadership and cooler inflation kept buyers in control despite the U.S.-Iran conflict hanging over the market. AI infrastructure names ripped as earnings, contracts, and guidance gave traders fresh reasons to chase capacity. After the bell, Cerebras and Cisco reminded everyone that strong numbers can still lose a fight with stronger expectations.
Thursday 🚀: Softer producer inflation and semiconductor strength pushed stocks higher, carrying the S&P 500 above 7,800. Workday’s buyout report sparked a software treasure hunt, while SanDisk’s long-term targets supercharged memory stocks. Applied Materials’ after-hours drop following a clean beat showed how little patience remains for AI winners priced near perfection.
Friday 🔄: Investors rotated out of crowded AI chips and into energy, small caps, and tariff beneficiaries, leaving the major indexes mixed. Broadcom’s financing and VMware risks punished the session’s biggest tech laggard while Reddit’s S&P 500 promotion created its own forced-buying party. Rising oil and renewed Middle East tension kept the risk-off undertow from disappearing.

NUBURU Advances a Software-Orchestrated Defense & Security Platform
Modern defense and security increasingly require connected capabilities rather than standalone technologies. NUBURU is advancing a software-orchestrated, hardware-enabled platform that brings together directed-energy and non-kinetic systems, electronic warfare and defense mobility, operational-resilience software, and deployable advanced manufacturing.
Orbit provides the software, workflow and evidence layer. Lyocon provides photonics and directed-energy capabilities. The proposed 70% acquisition of TEKNE—authorized under Italy’s Golden Power framework and still subject to closing—is intended to add defense engineering, mobility and EW/CEMA capabilities. The Maddox Defense joint venture expands the platform into deployable manufacturing.
The objective: a modular, governed architecture serving authorized defense, security and critical-infrastructure markets.
