The Weekend Rip
Happy Weekend!

U.S. stocks rallied early in the week before hotter inflation and a brutal tech earnings reset erased the momentum. AI drove both sides of the swing: Anthropic’s filing revived chips, then Alphabet, Amazon, Intel, and SanDisk showed how little patience investors have left for spending, misses, or sky-high expectations. 📉
Let's recap and prep you for the week ahead. 📝
Monday 🤖: Stocks climbed as semiconductors pulled technology higher. Anthropic opened its books while Meta and SpaceX showed which AI builders can still raise enormous sums. Brazil’s election shocked local assets, while takeover deals jolted Instacart, Range Resources, and Surgery Partners.
Tuesday 🚒 : U.S. stocks climbed for a fifth advance in seven sessions as chips revived the AI trade. Anthropic’s filing pulled semiconductors higher while Boeing’s weaker outlook weighed on blue chips. Robinhood fell after hours as crypto weakness offset record prediction-market activity.
Wednesday 🏦: U.S. stocks edged higher after the Fed held rates steady and traders turned toward December. Microsoft climbed after hours as faster Azure growth and lighter-than-feared spending powered a beat. Alphabet fell as weaker advertising and heavy AI spending overshadowed its cloud surge.
Thursday 🧾: U.S. stocks finished mixed and mostly lower as hotter PCE inflation and an AI-spending hangover crushed megacap tech. Alphabet suffered its worst session on record. Amazon and Intel extended the pain after hours as earnings exposed fresh cracks.
Friday 🧨: U.S. stocks sold off as earnings disappointment cracked the crowded AI trade. Intel’s PC miss and SanDisk’s valuation hangover pulled chips lower. Regeneron surged on record drug sales while CorMedix collapsed on reimbursement fears.
