The Weekend Rip
Happy Weekend!

Let's recap and prep you for the week ahead. 📝

Monday 🧬: Nvidia led the Nasdaq to a record despite climbing Treasury yields. Novavax surged on plague speculation with no clear business benefit. Schneider Electric offered $22.6B for PTC as Cerebras rebounded on Sam Altman’s reassurance.

Tuesday 📈: Earnings optimism and AI demand pushed large caps to new records. Two separate nuclear catalysts sent power producers flying. Seagate’s supplier bid turned into a 9% headache.

Wednesday 🧯: Stocks retreated from records as Treasury yields touched 24-year highs. A solid 10-year auction pulled yields off their peaks, but Fed minutes kept another 2026 hike alive. Applied Digital’s report and a Pentagon lifeline for Wolfspeed took over after the bell.

Thursday 🧮: Energy strength masked a sharp break in the AI trade. OpenAI’s revenue run rate landed about $20B below expectations, dragging chips lower. Crude kept inflation risk alive while takeover chatter sent Chipotle flying.

Friday 📡: Stocks climbed for a fifth time in seven sessions after the morning GDP report failed to shake buyers. Wireless carriers collapsed while cell-tower landlords celebrated the same SpaceX spectrum deal. Moderna hit a 52-week high, and Novavax supplied the loudest retail chase.
