The Weekend Rip
Happy Weekend!

Stocks faced repeated selling last week as rising oil and doubts about AI financing pressured technology shares. CoreWeave’s debt scare spread across data-center builders, while Thursday’s rebound gave way to another Friday retreat. Oil topping $100 rewarded energy producers and handed airlines a bigger fuel bill.
Let's recap and prep you for the week ahead. 📝
Monday 💻️ : Stocks finished mixed as rising oil revived inflation concerns and AI hardware sold off. Cerebras hit a record low as doubts about its OpenAI relationship piled onto an approaching share unlock. IonQ’s acquisition spree grew again, with shareholders facing another big stock-funded deal.
Tuesday 💾: U.S. stocks slipped as Chinese memory-chip fears hit semiconductors and energy kept inflation risk alive. South Korea’s KOSPI plunged 5.5%, while Micron and Applied Materials extended the AI-hardware retreat. Big-bank earnings were mixed, and Wednesday’s CPI report now gets the final word on higher-for-longer.
Wednesday 🔥: Hot inflation drove stocks to their fifth loss in seven sessions. CoreWeave’s bond scare cracked the debt-funded AI trade. Walmart and Lilly climbed while chips and neoclouds sold off.
Thursday 🛡️: Stocks clawed back steep morning losses as Treasury yields plunged. AI financing fears kept chips under pressure, but CoreWeave reversed higher. TSMC delivered record profit and still finished red.
Friday 🧾: Stocks reversed lower as chips and AI infrastructure names sold off. CoreWeave dragged fellow data-center builders down as investors questioned the cost of financing expansion. Oil topped one hundred dollars as conflict threatened supplies, handing energy producers a rally and airlines a bigger fuel bill.
